Homemade Wall Shelf

I wanted a shelf on a particular wall, but it needed to be narrow since it’s a high-traffic area. I found this piece of wood in our basement, and it was a perfect size! So I chose to paint it charcoal gray to match my decor. I then bought two brackets from Hobby Lobby and spray-painted them gold, and painted the screws we used to secure the brackets to match.
